It turns out that no matter how hard you try to love people, no matter how much you try to be generous and self-sacrificing and flexible and accommodating, eventually your faults will catch up with you. We are these imperfect people, and unfortunately this is my way of telling you that Miriam and Parveen have moved to a different home.
I am so proud of most of what we accomplished with these girls this year. Audrey has been so loving and kind to them, opening her heart in such a sisterly way and reaching out to them in their unlovable moments. I wish she was my own sister. Audrey's Dad has driven them countless miles to practices and meetings and prepared meals that accommodate their religious needs. We have created opportunities for adventure and exploration and family and warmth and tried to love their imperfections
But we have missed the mark and not been everything we should have been.
So our house is much quieter again. And it breaks my heart to end this blog. Thank you for joining me.
