Many of us who have learned a second language have had the thrill of learning a few curse words that our parents or friends don't really understand. We can toss them around for a while and never really offend anyone, and they are pretty meaningless, mostly because we can't remember what they meant in the first place.
Unfortunately, when you go to live in the country where those curse words are in the primary language, and continue using them ... you are going to get in trouble.
So, probably, although fun, it's better not to learn them in the first place? Or at least not to use them all the time.
I love when James corrects our helper and tells her not to say "oh my god". He doesn't realize "oh sh*t" is a curse as well very commonly used here!
