It's pretty funny to hear people's response to Miriam, when they learn she is from Morocco. There is so much cultural mystique about Morocco. Bogey and Casablanca. Beautiful scenery and artwork. So when people hear the word Morocco, they almost always say, "Ooh... that is so cool!"
Unfortunately, when people hear the word Pakistan, they think .... (sorry to say) terrorist.
And really, from a cultural and religious standpoint, the two nations are very similar, although Pakistan is technically a democracy, while Morocco is a monarchy.
So, what we need is some amazing, black and white, romantic movies set in Pakistan. And not black and white film shot by the Navy Seals through their night-vision goggles.
I think the touches of green from the goggle shots add an air of mystique, don't you?
