Betcha' didn't know...

Betcha didn't know that Alzheimer's can be pronounced "AL-zam-EERS" 

:)

Perhaps it really is named after an Arab researcher and not a German psychiatrist?

    I've heard Alzheimer's re-named many things (ALTheimer's, Old-Timers (particularly offensive), but AZ-zam-EERS is a new one. It does have an exotic ring to it.
