This is spirit week at the high school, so the girls have been making some effort to join in the dress-up days.
Today was "Super-hero Day". We offered to search for capes or help with other costumes, but neither girl seemed interested.
But, this morning Oksana put a sign on her shirt that read, "Exchange student is already a hero."
As the mother of a child who died from cancer, I suppose my definition of a hero is a bit different than some. And then again ... I haven't seen many Ukrainian/Russian movies ... perhaps sexy-future-fashion-model is her secret identity?
At least she doesn't struggle with low self image...!
